Happy Campers

For all you parents new to Charleston, NOW is the time to research summer camps for your kids! While the application deadlines are usually in April, our camps fill up WAY earlier - usually in February. We hope this list of camp options will give you a headstart on tackling childcare this summer!

1. Take advantage of the nature that surrounds us in the Lowcountry with these outdoor adventure options!

Huck Finn

Famous Adventures

Sol Surfers

CofC Sailing

KE Camp at Dunes West

2. Have a less outdoorsy kid who is more into science?

Trident Tech STEM

Code Ninjas

Childrens Museum of the Lowcountry

3. For the more artsy kids:

Gaillard Center

Once Upon a Ballet

4. Girls-only camps are available too!

Ashley Hall

5. Local municipalities offer quality, inexpensive summer programming.

Mt Pleasant Recreation Department

City of Charleston Athletic Camps

City of North Charleston

6. Local churches offer great summer programming including vacation bible school.

Seacoast Church

7. If you're looking for overnight camp options, there's Camp St Christopher on Seabrook Island, but most of our Charleston kids like to escape the heat at camps in the NC mountains.

B.V. has personal experience with most of these options and is happy to discuss if you've got questions. This website PunchBugKids has a compilation of options and is a great resource. Cheers to a summer of happy campers!
