Exploring Kiawah River

Kiawah River is a new housing development that after years of buzz is finally off the ground and ready for residents!  With 2,000 acres situated in a unique waterfront location right next to Kiawah Island, public beaches, and only 15 minutes from downtown, the appeal is obvious. And with 10 builders and dozens of floorplans to choose from across different price points, there is something for everyone.

Touted as a Sea Island Village, Kiawah River is more than a neighborhood. The master plan includes waterfront dining, a luxury hotel and locally sourced retail options. But they also hold tight to rural Johns Island roots with miles of trails, farm animals and a community supported agriculture program. An outdoor farmers market is in the works, along with a gourmet market for fresh baked delights. Farm fresh veggies right in your own neighborhood? Yes, please!

If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s how important it is to love where you live. The outdoor adventures at Kiawah River are endless. Residents will have all-access to a deep water community dock, resort style pool and splash pad, recreational space for games, fishing, and paddle boarding. If you’ve been to Palmetto Bluff in Bluffton, think of Kiawah River as its smaller and more affordable (but similarly planned and preserved) little sister.
