Dede Warren

Dede has called Charleston home since 1991. She is originally from Savannah, GA, holds a degree from UNC-Chapel Hill and has prior work experience in hospitality, which benefits her 23 year real estate career. Her greatest asset is family: 3 married children and 3 granddaughters.

My favorite restaurant is always “the next new one I haven’t tried!” I come from a restaurant/catering background and always want to try the next hottest place that opens. And Charleston always has exciting new establishments to try.

My greatest accomplishment is having 3 wonderful grown married children that I have a good relationship with and all are contributing members of society. The three granddaughters are a nice bonus!

Five words to describe me: organizer, adventurous, loyal, encourager, industrious

My most fun day off would be getting my hands in the dirt and building up a sweat gardening, then taking the boat out for a cool swim, followed by dinner off the grill with friends.

Whenever I have visitors I always include a trip to The Wreck restaurant on Shem Creek. Everyone has loved it.

B.V. Messervy
B.V. grew up in Mt. Pleasant and went to Wando High School. She married classmate Daniel Messervy and they now live in Oyster Point with their daughter Wren. She’s an active member of both Junior League and Rotary and attends Seacoast Church.

My dream trip is to travel to Africa for a photo safari..

My favorite book is To Kill a Mockingbird… I’m a sucker for southern fiction!

It’s on my bucket list to become a live auctioneer. I would love to help local charities with their fundraisers by calling the live auction!

Five words to describe me: confident, proactive, dependable, fun loving, and bossy (I’m a Capricorn!)

Where is your favorite place to take visitors in town?
Out on our boat, the FiddleDede, in Shem Creek for cocktails and dolphin watching

New Zealand is top of my travel list. It looks like a country that you have to see to believe. The diverse landscape is so unlike anywhere I have ever been. Not to mention all of the activities, hiking, snorkeling, fishing, kayaking, so much!

My favorite restaurant is Obstinate Daughter on Sullivans Island. I love the laid back atmosphere and everything on the menu is amazing.

It’s on my bucket list to visit all 50 states. There are so many amazing places to see in our own country. I do not count driving through or airport layovers. So far I have been to 24 – almost half way there!

On a day off I can be found taking the boat out with my husband and our dog to go fishing or to meet up with friends at the sandbar.

My favorite place to take visitor is out on the water. Seeing Charleston from the water gives you a whole new perceptive. Whether it is the Intracoastal Waterway, Shem Creek or the harbor, visitors will see Charleston in a whole new way!

My favorite book is A Separate Peace. I love the overlap of patriotism, morality and coming-of-age.

My little sister, Alexa, makes me laugh the most. We can still laugh for hours about something that happened 20 years ago! Her laughter is contagious!

Five words to describe me: driven, efficient, genuine, fun, sensitive

On a day off you’ll find me relaxing at the beach on Kiawah with my husband and our dogs.

I love taking visitors to Magnolia Plantation for the history. The Zoo & Nature Center is a hit with little ones. It takes me back to going there on field trips as a kid with my bag lunch!
