Mario's Peruvian Chicken

I had been hearing a lot of buzz about Mario’s Peruvian Chicken and friends of mine raved about enjoying Peruvian Chicken in other larger cities. I was happy to find 3 other companions to check it out so we tasted everything on the menu. Pollo la brasa, is the signature dish of Peru. It is coated in herbs and charcoal broiled and the result is juicy and delicious. You can order ¼, ½ or 1 whole bird. The sides are all wonderful although a bit heavy on the starch. White rice, French fries as well as Yucca fries. I loved the outstanding slaw! Delicious sauces are available. There are an assortment of Peruvian soft drinks in the cooler and there is one dessert, a jam filled cookie if you have a sweet tooth. This is a perfect spot to grab dinner to go for the family at reasonable price. There are tables for dining in but very utilitarian.

They are located next to the Bi-Lo on the Isle of Palms connector and are open daily from 11am-9pm.
