Charleston is known for its impressive restaurant scene. The high end restaurants tend to get the most buzz, but there are plenty of kid-friendly options for families. We've curated this list of our team's favorite spots to dine with kids!
Downtown:
Baker & Brewer - pizza in a large warehouse setting
The Alley - great food, arcade, and bowling!
Taco Boy - outdoor seating and queso dip
Biergarten - casual, outdoor dining on East Bay St
Marina Variety Store - great breakfast with marina views
Poogans Porch - higher end dining but still laid back enough for kids
Edmond’s Oast Brewery and Rancho Lewis - greenspace with astroturf is a make shift playground
Mt Pleasant:
Burtons - higher end dining with a top-notch kids menu
Sesame - build your own burgers and shakes
Flying Biscuit - fun breakfast spot with mimosas for the adults
Come Back Shack - burgers, chicken & milkshakes in a lowkey setting
Kickin Chicken - fried chicken and sports on TV
Juanita Greenberg’s - fun vibe and popular Nacho Royale which is more like a mexican pizza
Mellow Mushroom - fun vibe and a french bread kids pizza
Kid Cashew - healthy menu with outdoor seating
Ye Ole Fashioned - affordable kids meals and an ice cream counter
Seewee Restaurant - farther out but worth the drive for fried seafood, comfort food, and outdoor seating
Sullivan's Island:
Mex1 - quesadillas and margs for the adults
Home Team - bbq and fried chicken
James/Johns Island:
Tattooed Moose - amazing french fries
Zia - quesadillas and tacos
Garage 75 - arcade games and bar food
Bohemian Bull
Azul
Park Circle:
Holy City Brewing - amazing tater tots and huge yard to play
Tattooed Moose - amazing french fries (note: there is explicit graffiti in the bathroom stalls)
Commonhouse - outdoor space and stage/music entertainment
Benny's Rinaldi's Pizza - kid friendly menu
West Ashley:
Baker's Bar - pizza and arcade games (just don't ask for Ranch!)
Mellow Mushroom - fun vibes and a french bread kids pizza
Ye Ole Fashioned - affordable kids meals and an ice cream counter
Miss Rose’s - great kids menu of southern favorites
