Butcher and the Boar is great for Holiday Entertaining or Dinner and a Drink!

If you need to plan a holiday party, consider the Butcher and the Boar. This award winning restaurant honed its reputation in Minneapolis before opening in Mt. Pleasant last year. It bills itself as a modern steakhouse focused on large shareable portions with the best Bourbon Bar around. It’s a family owned business, which is made evident in the attentive customer service. 

 
 

You won’t even recognize the interior of the old Southerly’s next to the now defunct Southern Season. The interior is rich and inviting and the food is hearty and satisfying. I tried all appetizers the night I went: The Sausage Sampler, Steak Tartare, Spicy Tuna Poke, Peel & Eat Shrimp and Peanut Butter stuffed Jalapenos. All were delicious.

After touring the entire space, I learned that they have several private dining rooms that can be reserved without additional fee. The Boar Room has its own bar and seats 32. The Garden Room seats 30 and the Patio features 5 TVs and a large bar for crowds up to 125. Heaters and a firepit were going the night I was there, creating a cozy outdoor atmosphere. 

 
 

I can’t wait to go back for their specialty steak and the delicious-looking sides. I belong to several social groups that are always looking for a new celebration place. I think the Butcher and the Boar is a wonderful option!
